In 4R tauopathies, such as PSP, CBD, and GGT, tau pathology is seen in neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes. Both PiD, a 3R tauopathy, and AGD, a 4R tauopathy, show primarily neuronal pathology with rare astrocytic involvement.
