IFNAR deficiency results in decreased ISG expression following TBI. mRNA was isolated from hippocampal tissue at 7 and 31 DPI. (A) Gene expression at 7 DPI was evaluated using the NanoString Neuroinflammation panel. mRNA counts were compared in WT and IFNAR KO control vs. WT and IFNAR KO TBI mice. Data are expressed as fold change in mRNA expression relative to WT control. Significance was determined by DESeq2 analysis. (B) Hippocampal gene expression at 31 DPI was evaluated by quantitative PCR. Error bars depict mean ± SEM. Significance was determined by two-way ANOVA with Tukey’s test for multiple comparisons. *p < 0.05 TBI compared to matched genotype control, #p < 0.05 WT TBI vs. IFNAR KO TBI, +p < 0.05 WT control vs. IFNAR control, n = 5–6 mice/group
