The X- axis was generated by the rank ordering of proteins that met criteria as over-represented in SDS-insoluble fractions from mice that were untreated or treated with Dox for 1 or 4 weeks (raw data in Additional file 4, Table S3). The rank order for each data set is from the highest to lowest spectral count numbers with the Y-axis plotting the average number of spectral counts (error bars indicate standard deviation). Note that the rank order of proteins identified differed between the treatment groups and therefore the data points between different lines of mice should not be viewed as aligning
