From: [18F]-AV-1451 binding profile in chronic traumatic encephalopathy: a postmortem case series
Representative images of phosphor screen autoradiography experiments with and without ethanol washing steps. Identical results were observed in the head to head comparison of both protocols using adjacent brain tissue slices. A strong [18F]-AV-1451 binding signal was observed in cortical regions containing tangles in AD but no [18F]-AV-1451 binding was detected in CTE slices with the exception of the off-target to leptomeningeal melanocytes.
