Galectin-3 siRNA reduces microglial activation induced by α-synuclein aggregates. BV2 microglia activated by 20 μm of α-synuclein aggregates for 12 h show a robust iNOS down regulation by 80% when galectin-3 is knocked down by siRNA (B).
