Red bars represent AD eyes, green bars represent control eyes. A Percentage of pixels double labelled by both GS & GFAP in inner and outer retina is shown. Activated Müller cells, labelled with both GS & GFAP, shows lower levels of immunoreactivity in AD (red bars) compared to control eyes (green bars). This was significant in the inner layers of mid-peripheral retina. B Percentage of pixels labelled with GS only in inner and outer retina is shown.
