Staining of lumbar spinal cord from M83± mice for pS129 α-synuclein (Abcam, EP1536Y) following intraperitoneal injection of assembled A53T α-synuclein. Staining was in evidence 3 and 5 months, but not 1 month, after injection. No specific staining was seen after 5 months in uninjected, PBS-injected or M83± mice injected with assembled Δ71–82 A53T α-synuclein. The dashed line delineates the ventral horn. Scale bars, 100 μm
