Western blotting analysis of tau isoforms expressed in pinniped brains. Western blotting of TBS-soluble fractions obtained from the forebrains at various ages and treated with alkaline phosphatase. The left lane shows the six isoforms of human tau (recombinantly produced): three 3-repeat tau isoforms (0N3R, 1N3R, and 2N3R) and three 4-repeat tau isoforms (0N4R, 1N4R, and 2N4R).
