hnRNP R and hnRNP Q localise to the nucleus in the frontal cortex and hippocampus in FTLD-TDP and normal controls. Representative images of hnRNP R and hnRNP Q immunohistochemistry in the frontal cortex and granular cell layer of the dentate gyrus in a neurologically normal control and the FTLD-TDP subtypes (TDP-A, TDP-B, TDP-C and FUS). Strong neuronal nuclear hnRNP R and hnRNP Q staining is observed in both controls and the FTLD-TDP subtypes, with occasional weak cytoplasmic staining in some neurons.
