hnRNP R expression is increased in some FTLD subtypes. Nanostring expression analysis of hnRNP R mRNA levels in the frontal and temporal cortices of FTLD-TDP and FTLD-FUS cases compared to neurologically normal controls. A significant increase in expression of hnRNP R was identified in FTLD-TDP A (p = 0.0005, n = 19), FTLD-TDP C (p = 0.0036, n = 7) and FTLD-FUS (p = 0.0048, n = 5) compared to controls (n = 6).
