Gja1 contributes to neuronal death and reduces viability by Aβ1–42 treatment. Cortical neurons were plated onto 12 well plate and wildtype or Gja1−/− astrocytes grown on transwells were inserted to the neuron cultures. Indicated concentration of Aβ1–42 oligomers are applied for 4 days (a) or 7 days (b) and neuronal death and viability was determined by LDH and MTT assays, respectively.
