HSPB1-P182L reduces the translational repression activity of PCBP1. a Luciferase-based repression assay performed on HEK293 cell lines transiently transfected with PCBP1/EGFP alone or with PCBP1 together with wild type or mutant HSPB1. All data were subsequently normalized to the renilla luciferase and EGFP, which was used in this assay as a negative control. b Values from the same luciferase-based repression assay normalized to HSPB1-WT. All experiments were performed four times. Statistical analysis was performed by one way ANOVA with a Bonferroni multiple comparison test
