CAP decreases expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines in the brain following FPI. Multiplex analysis of cytokines in tissue from the ipsilateral cortex of C57BL/6 mice following FPI. Note the significant reductions in IL-13, IL-15, CCL2 (MCP1), and IL-10. The reduction of this subset of chemokines and cytokines is consistent with the reduction in cells capable of producing these inflammatory cytokines.
