Brains of control individuals, 8 years old and 25 years old contain intracellular granular immunoreactions HNE and MDA, the intensities of which are correlated with the amounts of accumulated Aβ, as shown in the confocal images. Bars 10 μm. The graphs show the relationship between Aβ and HNE or MDA for neurons in all control cases listed in Table  1.
