Co-localization of Aβ and HNE and MDA. Intracellular products of lipid peroxidation—HNE and MDA—appear as granules with diameter 0.25–3.5 μm. Aβ is co-localized with intracellular HNE products with the notable exception of the smallest Aβ granules, typically with diameter less than 0.3 μm, but infrequently also larger—up to 1 μm, as shown in dup(15)/autism and control brains.
