  1. Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded 5 μm thick sections were stained for H&E, Luxol fast blue and periodic acid Schiff (LFB/PAS), and Bielschowsky’s silver stain for routine pathology analysis. For cellular analysis, slides were stained for LRP1, myeloid marker CD68, and reactive astrocyte marker GFAP. Neurons were not detected in white matter
