Tau4RTg2652 mice accumulate abundant MC1 immunoreactivity across multiple brain regions. At three months of age (a-e) MC1 immunoreactivity is robust in deep layers of the cortex and throughout the hippocampus and is more moderate in the hindbrain. By one year (f-j), MC1 immunostaining in the forebrain has spread to all cortical layers and throughout the striatum. Scale bars = 500um
